Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in (3 mins)
Greet students and have a free talk about what do you want to be when you grow up, then students will give different answers, in this way the grammar point of the simple future tense can be led in.
(Justification: the teacher can lead the topic of “the simple future tense” very naturally and it can also arouse students’ curiosity. )
Step 2 Presentation(5mins)
Show some pictures and then present some sentences on the blackboard, ask students to find the common point of these sentences and try to guess the meaning of them. After that, guide students to understand the structure and the meaning of the simple future tenses, the structure is “ will/ won’t + the original form of the verb”, and the meaning is “ express the things and actions that happen in the future.”
(Justification: the pictures can help students better understand the meaning and structure of the simple future tense in a particular context.)
